My dad was a milkman and I remember as a kid helping deliver milk eating at the diner pictured here at three in the morning. Then my dad also worked part time as a presser at Saltz & Sons, the sign on top! We would have dance recitals at the Central Theater when in Dotty Locker Dance School (on Broadway), and Walter Kormin Dance School (on the third floor next to Lofts Candy at the corner of Jefferson & Main).
