When Clay Center American Legion baseball catcher Morgan Snyder got signed to play pro ball with the Kansas City Blues, the Rex Theatre had the Snyders and legion team in for a special event. Here, it’s a double-truck (two facing newspaper paged) ad for the Rex film event and local merchants circa 1930.
Snyder’s five-year minor league career took him from the Blues to the American Association Springfield Senators (Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League Class B), the San Antonio Indians (Texas League A Ball,)
back to the Kansas City Blues (American Association -AA), the
Topeka Senators and Keokuk Indians (Western League A Ball).
