Wow….this brings back memories. At one time, there was a small scale train ride that circled that white fence and just inside the screen tower. My dad operated that train for a time until he became manager of the theater. I think it was around 1958. I remember that he allowed any of the neighborhood kids to just walk in and we would all sit with our backs against that fence. There was a sidewalk just inside it….and I specifically recall watching “Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein” sitting right there:–) (not sure of the exact title). Sheesh…gives me goosebumps thinking about it:–)
