The film showing looks to be The Hasty Heart which was released in December 1949. Produced by Associated British Pictures, it would have first shown in Blackburn at ABC’s Majestic (later Apollo). It could well have been after 1950 that the Cinema Royal got it (Morecambe’s Arcadian was showing it in 1954!).
