The large doorway in the first building on the left was the entrance to the Queens Cinema (formerly Midland) and the window above it was the projection room. The cinema closed in the late 1950’s and was used for sometime after as a store and shop by Campion’s, the cycle manufacturers whose factory was on Bathley Street in the Meadows. In the same building is the Unicorn Cafe, formerly the Primrose Cafe.
