Owned by the City Of Santa Cruz and leased to Landmark Cinemas this classic large movie theatre was built very solid and did well in the big earthquake many years ago in 1989. The downstairs has been de twined the mess former UA Theatres did has been corrected. Now lets hope some one will fix the waterfall curtains again and repair the neon out front. I have told the manager Scott to start a fund raising drive and add $1 per ticket restoration surcharge for the fixing up of the neon and curtains. Landmark won’t do It, nor the city of Santa Cruz. The public Santa Cruz movie going wants these two things fixed now and will help pay for them I think.
