The exterior of the Paramount Theatre in Port Alberni, BC as of September 2019. The theatre’s old billboard marquee, which adorned the front of the theatre since at least the early-1970s, was recently removed as part of upcoming exterior renovations which will see new signage added to the outside. The old marquee’s removal revealed a hidden labelscar from a Famous Players neon sign that had been mounted below the theatre’s original Paramount neon sign, which had been above the theatre entrance during roughly its first two decades of operation.
