The last day of Castle Rock’s drive-in screen was captured in this photo in the Aug. 11, 1977 edition of the Douglas County News. Not my copyright, of course. The original caption:
DOWN IT COMES - The drive-in theatre screen familiar to all who drive Hwy 86 (Franktown highway) was dismantled Saturday to make way for the newly approved Oakwood Park Planned Unit Development.
