In the 1980’s the Rio Cinema had its own in house newsreel team who produced a weekly slide show of local news and events, shown from 35mm slides before the main feature, this amazing archive was rediscovered in 2016, and the book features the highlights from over 12,000 colour images of Hackney life between 1982 and 1988, and tells the story of the group and the Rio Cinema in this period.
