Majestic Theatre 29 Dee Street, Invercargill - Proscenium close-up
The Albion Picture Theatre was opened on 22nd April 1916 and was a conversion of the 1890-built Albion Hotel. It was re-named Majestic Theatre in 1928. By 1950 it was operated by the Kerridge-Odeon chain. By 1968 it was operated by the Fullers Theatres chain. It was possibly closed in the early-1980’s and was demolished in 1985.
