Texas Stadium Drive In Theatre - Demolished

This was the last screen to stand. Seen here, Laying over, being used for a storage bin. All 3 Screens had Hydraulics to lift & lower the screens. This was for when a game was going on or in case of bad weather. From what I can gather, the Drive In opened sometime around 1973 & closed sometime around 1982-83. “Due to closing during the games & the awful amount of ambient lighting around the area, it was hard to get a decent picture on the screens”. <-> Info thanx to Richard Peterson… Photo Courtesy of Randy A Carlisle – RAC Photography
