This arch in all its ornate multi-coloured glory can still be seen, with the rest of the auditorium over the lights of the municipal library which now occupies the building. By an agreement with the council, the theatre was constructed inside the Semaphore Town Hall, as part of their growing Ozone theatres circuit, by the Waterman Brothers who lived in Alberton a few kilometres nearer the city. No expense was spared to make the theatre worthy of the very popular seaside resort suburb in which it was situated.
