1928 original photograph showing the Plaza entrance foyer in a 16th century design of an Venetian Ducal Palace. The lower section of the walls are finished in oak panelling including the two pairs of stalls access doors. Both stone fireplaces are recessed and their projecting hoods inlaid with fleur-de-lys and finished with Renaissance carved oak grotesque heads set either side of mirrors. Wrought iron period chandeliers are suspended from an foliate decorative oak beamed ceiling. In the foreground mosaic steps lead up from the queueing lobby into the stalls foyer, left is an oak settle the back surmounted with armorial coat of arms, opposite right the side of the Plaza pay box.
