Following the long engagement of “How The West Was Won” the Palace booked an 18-day run of “Under The Yum Yum Tree” and closed its doors afterwards on December 9, 1963. Theatre remained closed for a period of 19 weeks reopening on April 15, 1964 with “Cleopatra.” No explanation was ever given for the closure.
