Dallas was one of the few cities to monetize its traffic circle. And businesses used the circle part of the Tom Field Traffic Circle. The Circle Inn motel, the Circle Bowling Lanes, the Circle Theater among them. It was a great place for families to go but the businesses made it one of the major traffic safety problems for the city.
