Open from the late 1950s through the 1970s, the Smyrna Drive-In was a single screen ozoner located off Atlanta Road, about half a mile north of the Belmont Hills shopping center and right behind Dobbins and Lockheed (which meant every so often the roar of jet plane engines would overpower the film soundtrack).

This drive-in showed a lot of monster fare. It was also the starting point of the Smyrna little league parade that rode down South Cobb Drive at the beginning of every baseball season.

Bulldozed in 1983, the drive-in site is now the home of the Smyrna GDOT.

Are you the C. Martin Croker from Adult Swim? I love the Zorak voice.
