The June 2, 1951 issue of Boxoffice (Modern Theatre section) ran this standalone photo of the Shawnee. The original caption:
The impact of 40x60-inch recessed poster cases is clearly shown in this illustration of the Shawnee Drive-In Theatre entrance near Shawnee, Kas. When the patrons' cars are halted at the boxoffice, and as they gain speed slowly on entering the ramp area, the illuminated cases give good display to coming attractions. The cases are those of National Screen Service.
