Elaborate jazz stage show prior to the feature film on the Palace Theatre stage in Dallas circa 1925. Few movie theaters continued this practice in the 21st Century of motion picture presentation.

Where does this photo come from? Was it published in the press or it comes from an archive? The conductor of the orchestra in the photo is Nicholas Mirskey, who was the musical director of the Palace Theatre between September 1924 and July 1925. Mirskey is of Polish descent and I’m writing a PhD thesis about his work in American movie theatres. I have this exact photo in his family archive in Warsaw.
