Just an enhancement of photos already posted. Parking lot was gravel. I don’t remember the colors of the building or marque so I left them alone. In the 50s & 60s I grew up in a house just off Causeway. It was a little over 1 mile to either the Aereon, or the Grand (both on Metairie Rd.) In those days from the age of 9 up no one had the slightest problem with my walking to either one - as long as it was daytime. From about 13 on even night was no problem. Once I had a car… well. The Aereon was demolished and is a double sided drive around strip-mall extending back into the lot instead of along the street. The Grand is currently a day-care center.
