Another photo from the Joe Basil collection. Joe managed the Sunset from about 1952-54 for United Drive-Ins, of which his father, A. G. Basil, of Raymond, WA was a partner. Sorry I don’t know the name of the projectionist.
I think that’s “Ole”. I never met him but heard about him because he worked several Olympia area theaters as a member of the projectionists unoin.
Appreciate your comments on the photos, Ken. I was just a ten year old at this time and remember a lot, but not the names of the adults or any insight on the gear. Loveed helping my stepdad clean the lot, as I occasionally found change folks had dropped getting in and out of their cars!
