In the 1936 August school holidays a queue stretches south along Castlereagh Street to attend a Paramount double feature - W. C. Fields in “Poppy” plus “The Sky Parade” which ran for two weeks. Latter was a film version of the radio serial popular at the time: “The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen” being broadcast nightly at 7.30 on local station 2GB.
