Palladium Picture Gardens Bannister Street, Fremantle, WA - Extra-ordinary photo of the gardens that still exist today. Note the projection ports at the rear and the unusual balcony with stepped viewing.

The Palladium Gardens were opened (in 1917) round the corner from the theatre in Bannister St, but sadly were not very successful. They were closed, then re-opened for a short time from 1923 till 1925, before being used for other purposes (including more recently a plumber’s store and workshop).
