Movies were exclusive first-run for the area, but had previously played engagements in the “Loop.”

In New York City, both of these movies had their premiere engagements at Radio City Music Hall, with support from stage shows. The Uptown’s booking of “Saboteur” as a second feature suggests that Alfred Hitchcock had yet to develop a “draw” in Chicagoland.
