Crews on Bay Street filming new Jack Black comedy
STAPLETON, NY — The new Jack Black film, “School of Rock” will use the historic St. George Theatre in Stapleton to enact the “battle” scene. According to the Staten Island Advance, the $40 million film will be shot in various locations of the New York city borough.

“School of Rock” is being directed by Richard Linklater (“Dazed and Confused”) and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.
