SALFORD, UK — It’s official (from the demolition crew anyway): the Ambassador Super Cinema is to be demolished.
The sad end to a wonderful era of cinema on Langworthy Road in Salford. I have pictures of yesterdays work and will be going today to see how they are doing today at lunchtime.

Ambassador finally laid to rest.
I shall miss visiting it.
Two pictures available from todays visit.
How incredibly sad to read yet another story of beautiful ornate architecture being torn down to be replaced by characterless boxy monstrosities all in the name of generating council tax! As we all know in today’s society of money grabbing councils utterly devoid of any concept of heritage. Shame on those who have made this decision it’s an outrage.
