CINCINNATI, OH — The 4 manual, 33 rank Theatre Pipe Organ from the now closed Music Palace Restaurant is for sale.

The organ was originally installed in the Mastabaum Theatre in Philadelphia, PA in 1929. The console was rebuilt in 1998 after a 1992 fire destroyed the orginal. All the other components were not damaged and are originals.

The organ and the entire business are for sale. Inquires can be made to Barbra Martey at 513-821-1675. Photos can be seen at http://the-music-palace.tripod.com.

The Palace Theatre in Albany New York should look into buying this theatre organ.

Hello,

Always thought the Pipe Organ Pizza Parlor concept was cool however so far this is the third one that seemed to have failed as a business. Thus far only one, Organ Stop Pizza seems to prevail. Are these pipe organ based pizza restaurants a flash in the pan and are they doomed to fail? It it is shame if that is the case because this is a nice way to ‘recycle’ a pipe organ. At least the good thing is with the increased interest in silent films, hopefully many a pipe organ will return to their old theatres.

The old music palace is now a bar/dance club, I believe the organ is gone, but I do not know what happened to it.

How much for the entire organ setup?….console, pipes, chests, blower, ancillary instruments? When does it need to be moved?

Hello DR.

Look just one post above yours. Best thing to do is contact the nightclub at that location now to get the information on the old owners. Contact them to find out what became of the organ. More than likely it is sold already. I don’t know of many people that could store an organ of that size.
