Beautifully renovated turn of the century theater for sale in rural North West, New Jersey. One hour drive to New York City. Easy highway access, yet located in quaint county town on a picturesque Main Street. The theatre seats 185. New curtains, refurbished seating, new lighting, new 7' Yamaha piano. Owners need to relocate, will work to insure that the theatre is transfered to new owners/operaters that will continue to maitain the theater’s reputation as a serious art house. This is a great opportuinty for someone serious about true theatre.

Seating capacity seems too small for the Darress in Boonton (which otherwise fits several of the listing points), anybody care to speculate what theatre this is? I would guess it’s not a movie theatre.

The theater is the Nous theater, guys – not the Darress. Built in 1913, it has a lot of charm and is fantastic condition. Howard’s a great guy to work with. Set up more for live performance than movies, but if that’s what you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with this one – I’ve checked it out and I’d give it two thumbs up.

Do you have more information on the theatre and it’s owner? I am curious as to why he is pulling out only one year after putting a major investment into the theatre. I might be interested in this place.
