I am looking for a theater historian or someone interested in a large collection of vintage Box Office Magazine issues. I recently acquired them from a relative that used to work at the Belleville Area Cinema and Skyview Drive In in Belleville, IL.
They are in superb condition from the 1960’s. They chronicle the movie and studio news of the times and they have excellent vintage movie advertising in them. I think they would make an excellent collection for a movie historian, vintage movie fan or an individual who owns a restored theater.
They truly are priceless pieces of history and I can’t care for them properly so I hope they find an interested collector.

You could also donate them to the Theatre Historical Society of America. They have the American Theatre Architecture Archive as well as the American Movie Palace Museum in Elmhurst, Ill. They are a 501©3 non-profit and you could claim your donation on your taxes.

Thanks to all who have responded thus far. I did fail to post a contact method originally so here is my email address. Hope that helps.
Hi, I bought a collection of 1950’s Box Office Magazines a few decades back. I went through them and cherry picked 81 issues that I thought were the best of the bunch and sold the rest. These contain Brando, Dean, Garland, Hitchcock, Horror, Rock n Roll, Teen Exploitation and many other cool genres. As a plus, these issues have no mailing labels on them to mar the front cover. Most are in very good shape. I am interested in selling them as a lot. Would anybody be interested in making me an offer? Mitch Diamond
