Spanning from a turn-key single-screener in Effingham, to an architecturally impressive 2-screener in Sterling, to a modern 4-plex in Dixon…and a new build drive-in theatre in Salem, owner Mark McSparin has these theatres up for sale in the State of Illinois. The owner(s) would have better luck selling the Heart Theatre at Effingham, if it was open instead of being close as it has been for several months. Earlier this year the theatre close again about as fast as it had reopen.

Regarding the Heart Theatre, it needs someone who can commit his full attention to operating it, marketing it, etc. A classic small-town single-screen hardtop with the neon marquee just shouting for attention. Hopefully, someone looking for such a gem will come upon it!
