Looking for help making a Business Plan

posted by pboykin on December 26, 2007 at 10:44 am

I am trying to reopen a closed Carmike theatre that is about 95 percent ready to reopen. I was wondering if anyone could give me pointers with the business plan or if anyone has one that they don’t mind me taking a look at.

If you can help me email me at.

Thanks

Try the forums at www.bigscreenbiz.com as many theater owners hang out there.

Hey Pete. This is HerbyH. Hopefully soon after the Holidays are over, I will give you the little that I have. I am accomplishing the same thing in my area. I do believe you will have great success. I also have an email address: Drop a line.

Don’t have a business plan, but a great software for developing your basic strategic plan including help on the objectives, vision, metrics, etc, is QuickPlanner Plus.

Pete, you can also go to www.125aday.com and get a business plan. They have plans as well as information on promoting your business as well. Good Luck with your theater.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I already paid for the business plan from there. Although it was somewhat helpful it is but a guide and not a real good complete plan.

I just want to see if anyone has something I can take a look at that might help out. I have tried those forums at bigscreen but cannot find the info I need and I have gone back as far as 1999 on posts.

Pete,
Download a free copy of QuickPlanner Plus. It will give you some basic guidance, not a much as the full version, but it asks the questions to help you begin your planning process. Unless you are trying to get financing, avoid the business plan for now. Start your strategic planning first. The business plan will be much easier to follow once you have accomplished defining your objectives, vision, mission, metrics, etc.
