City gets sneak peek at theatre renovations

OCALA, FL — The Marion Thetare in Ocala is showing us a little piece of her new facelift.
Past the red brick facade, construction crews have gutted the building interior and removed almost every bright yellow and green reminder that this was the former home of the Discovery Science Center.
The new concrete floor is downstairs in the main theater’s future seating bowl. Crews have started to pack down the dirt foundation that will support the raised stage for live performances.
