Texas Theatre 80th Anniversary screening!

DALLAS, TX — April 21st, 2011, will be the 80th Anniversary of the grand opening of the Texas Theatre!

To celebrate the theatre will be running the same program they ran that night. The presentation will be on 16mm film courtesy of Jim Reid. Put on your tux or your pajamas and pretend it’s 1931 and you’re hanging with ol' Howard Hughes.

d. the feature “Parlor- Bedroom & Bath” featuring the great lover Buster Keaton

The .35 cents admission price will include a replica of the actual Texas Theatre Program from April 21, 1931. “Dallas' Finest Show”.

The book mentions that The Texas Theatre was the first theatre built in Dallas built especially for talking pictures!
