Patio starts Kickstarter campaign

CHICAGO, IL — Theaters around the world have been struggling to make the jump to digital. The Patio Theater in Portage Park has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a digital projector — which is a necessity for their business to continue.

the link states: “ Two new speakers will be installed to provide a much better auditory experience” I’m curious where? behind the screen? in the surrounds??
It will be difficult to solicit funds for a privately owned for-profit venue. This is primarily because there are no tax write-off advantages for donors.
