USA Today is reporting a quiet resurgence for drive-ins. They look at a few cases across the country of older drive-ins being reopened and new ones starting from scratch.

The article also said that this is probably short lived because of the fil mindustry going digital in Dec.
You see one of these articles about the “revival” of drive-ins every few years. The premise of this one seems to be faulty, though. Right in this article it states that there are 364 drive-ins across the USA today, down from 406 drive-ins in 2007.
Well, that means 10% of the drive-ins that existed just five years ago have now closed down. That’s not a revival – that’s a bloodbath.
I love the drive-in’s!!!! You’re right Roger. It’s not a revival, but a bloodbath! Don’t you get sick and tired of these megaplexes? I’ll take the drive-in circuit any day of the week just to save MONEY!!! I saw THE DARK KNIGHT RISES at the local drive-in theatre as of last night for just $5.00 a car load!!! Refreshments were dirt-cheap but it was a great alternative to these moneygrabbing bloodsucking megaplexes that are killing the industry!!!
