Cinedome 7 closes after three decades

NEWARK, CA — Lowering ticket prices a couple months ago just wasn’t enough to keep the Cinedome 7 open. With a new Century theatre opening recently nearby, they just couldn’t compete. There’s a town meeting tonight on the future of the NewPark Mall development.

I always got a kick out of the Islamic style arches on this theatre. quite a departure for architect Vincent Raney—a Modernist for nearly all his career.
