Church breathes new life into Pensacola landmark

PENSACOLA, Fl — The Harvest Outreach Church is reopening the Rex Theatre after 20 plus years without a commercial tenant. While they plan to hold services there Saturday night, it’ll be available to the community the rest of the week. They also plan on renovating the marquee and redoing the seats.

I believe an attorney may have lived in the upper portion of the theatre at one time,or had an office there, but the theatre itself remained unchanged. I hope the original deco remains. At least it didn’t meet the same as the Florida down the street/
