ROANOKE RAPIDS, SC — Shuttered for years, the Peoples Theater is under court order to be torn down or brought up to code. The owner has not made a public comment but past efforts to renovate it have failed. While the theatre presents no danger at the moment, it’s been decaying for years.

Roanoke Rapids, the city in which this Peoples Theater is located, is actually in North Carolina (not South Carolina).
