Avalon Theatre Reopens Today!
WASHINGTON, DC — The Avalon, which has been closed since 2001 when Loews Cineplex shuttered the old movie house during its bankruptcy reorganization, will officially reopen to the general public today with FilmFest DC.The theater’s first screening will be at 10:30 am for a screening aimed at children. The Avalon Theatre will be hosting numeous films for the duration of FilmFest DC which runs from April 22nd to May 4th.
