Avalon Slated to Reopen in Mid-April
WASHINGTON, DC — Read the Washington Times articleJill Bernstein of the Avalon Theatre Project recently wrote in an email:
We do not have a firm opening date, but it will be a ‘soft opening’ when it happens. Filmfest DC will use the theater from April 24 to May 3. The grand public opening will be at our Community Open House on Sunday, May 4, from 11-3. First-run films will run as of Friday, May 9. And our Gala will be on the evening of Sunday, June 1.
