Went there often when I lived in Tampa 86-99. The screen was interesting as it was a roll up screen. This enabled them to do stage shows. Projection was 1.85 and 2.35. It was fun to sit in the front row of the balcony.
They had one roadshow engagement film. The Lion In Winter. Sadly by memorial Day weekend it was gone and they played Baby Love. Anyone know when and how long TLIW ran?
Update status to open
When it was a single screen theater I saw Tommy and Freebee And The Bean there.
Hamid closed all his theaters to work in the Casino.

I think you are right. It was great when I lived there and it was Muvico.
Great theater when it opened. It’s amazing that Frank Theaters didn’t ruin it like they did others.
I agree with MarkNYLA I went there once and never went back.
It would be great to be a theater again.
It had a great screen

I hate they closed and demolished this.
You could see the theater from the highway. The screen remained after the built the apartments.
Went to the UA Valentine and Lowes Paradise but never the RKO.
Anyone know which theater was upgraded to Imax?
This was a great theater. I was there opening day.
What happened to the Beekman 1&2 across the street?
What chain runs it now?

UGH what a waste of a movie theater. I would rather see it demolished than used by those two useless holes.UGH
It needs to stay as of closed until it reopens
They had the Roadshow engagement of The Lion In Winter.
If I remember correctly this was a RKO Stanley Warner theater prior to going porn
It looks good I hope it will stream on You Tube eventually. Grate they are having a movie again.
