If this Drive-In closed in 1959 it sure sat well tended for quite some time. There is an Historic Aerial from 1971 that shows the drive-in there and in what appears to be pretty good shape, can’t tell if there is a screen though.
Looking at Historic Aerials this drive in did not last long at all. It is visible with a screen in 1952, by 1957 the screen was gone so this one lasted less than 10 years. I am amazed you found anything at all on your Safari Drive-In 54!
Somewhere between 2011 and 2013 the Concession Stand/Projection Booth was demolished, but as of a June 2018 Street View both screens and the marquee are still standing.
New Google street view from June of 2018. The original marquee seems to have either been covered up or removed and replaced. The base poles are still there, but a new sign that says “Hocking Theater 33 Event Center” is there. (33 being the major US route that passes directly south of this former DI). The screen has been removed, but the screen support towers still stand and a outdoor pavilion has been built directly in front of those support towers. The building that housed the projection room and concession stand still remains. The street view referenced is from US 33. The Street View mobile has never been down Hocking Drive, the road that the entrance was on. It has been down route 595 back in 2007 and with some searching you can still see the screen when it was up, but not much else.
That would be a different Capitol Theatre. Tommy Boy says it takes place in Sandusky, Ohio. Very little was actually filmed in Sandusky, or in Ohio period. The bulk of the movie was shot in Toronto, Canada. None of it was shot in Cleveland to my knowledge and according to IMDB unless they greenscreened something in.
It is not yet open. Their last update was on October 16th about the coat of paint they put on the refreshment stand. Their most recent post is still promoting the Circle Drive in. All this can be found at their facebook page, I provided the link two posts above this.
September 2015 Google Street View shows nothing had been done to the property since it closed, but the “For Lease” sign on the marquee was not there anymore.
a few feet west of 120 W Main St, Naturita, CO 81422 is where you can find the restored Uranium Drive-In Marquee. It is NOT on the site of the actual drive-in.

I can’t figure out when it closed for sure, and the link that kencmcintyre posted in 2009 is dead, but if you look at Historic Aerials the 1998 one appears to show a functioning drive-in. By 2005 two self storage units had been built in front of the screen closest to the road as well as a steel barn and apparently a house towards the back of the lot. As of Google Street view from July of 2015 Both screens, the projection booth/concession stand, both marquees and ticket booth (buried in trees) remain standing.

I’m not sure if we have the right theater here. Historic Aerials from 1952 show NO drive-ins at that location. A 1957 Historic Aerial shows a total of TWO drive-ins side by side. One of them is definitely the South Twin Drive-In. By 1968 the single screen drive-in looks like it had been closed for a while while the twin is still going.

Looks like the old entrance/exit drive still exists right next to what appears to have been a Burger Chef at one point in time.
Big old pine tree and a circle of smaller shrubs that appear to be present in a 1970 Historic Aerial are still there to this day.
Swimming pool is gone. It was still visible as a pool in the 2007 Historic Aerial, but it was filled in by the 2009 Historic Aerial.

A Blog with lots of photos from 2016 about this place, seems it was an X rated theater that lasted until the early 90’s.
Looks like the screen came down somewhere between 2008 and 2010. Only the ramps and a foundation are visible now.
