1949 renovation took on major changes moving shoe store to left rear quarter and redoing the lower level seating, removed silver screen and added new sound and concession stand along with mats for lobby and new carpeting lower level
Roxy Pichi moved up to Manager later in 1970 Roxy bought the Union from partners B&Q
Wow I’m surprised that there was a beautiful little theater and being in Newton area it was always a busy And Belmont being a dry town said that was a beautiful theater one of the originals
i often think about the olde days and the time i spent working this great place i do miss it and all the people whom came to visit the union. too bad i had to let it go
Well my frined another theatre i relate to the four seasons i do rememebr larry as a manager along with Mr Joe Jarvis whom later in the eairly 80’s left to open jane picken in newport,, this was a nice looking theatre with the shandaler hanging in the bay window i might even have some picture of this place in the late 70’s/ eairly 80’s first run house i used to compete against for the union to get better picture faster
i ran this booth in the late 80 with the old super simple 15 min reels then i converted them to large reels i see the wall was knocked back for platter

great lil theatre been there a few times long ago
Old stand i removed it and built a newer one at that time
