AMC is doing it for a tax write off.You mean to tell me Metro Cininnatti cannot support a Dollar cinema.Keep it a Dollar cinema or two dollars tops and it will make money.I gave up trying to figure out this theatre business today. It ain’t by Showmen, that is for sure.
I am thinking about moving it to my Favorites selection. I have been to St.Augustine a bunch of times SOMEHOW i missed this.Must be in an off street area.Wish there were more pics and story. What a find. How did you find this one tisloews.
The little Mini-Cinemas were playing a wide range of film from “MYRA BRECKINRIDGE” to “BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID” both playing the same week. “BULLITT” and “BONNIE and CLYDE” played as a double feature.
When “TRON” came out we didn’t get it.I don’t remember it being any thing to get excited about, certainly not like the “INDY” and “STAR WARS” flicks,I think we had “ROCKYIII” and i am sure we did more on it than Weis Cinema did on “TRON”.
Thanks again,CWalczak.Probably don’t have to keep thanking you for the great stuff you get on ,but i do enjoy it.
thanks Kelly.
I would loved to have seen the theatres under screen.maybe someone will find a picture.thanks,S Porridge.

Thanks Alonzo !
Sadly, nothing special to look at.Could be one in NASHVILLE.for all we know.

WOW,what a small world.I have heard about a Drive-in there that had small cinemas UNDER the Screen.Any Info?
It was an ABC THEATRE,but for some reason most their late shows on the weekends were X -rated.We never could have pulled that off in Augusta.
“SCROOGE” opens Dec 6 1970 here with shows starting at 2 pm til the last show at 10pm.

Sorta looked like Ray Hutto’s SOUTHSIDE CINEMA.Real mom and pop operation.
“LITTLE BIG MAN” had a nice run here in 1971.
