To Joe Vogel: Lesser was a booking agent for the independant theater owners in the NYC area. They don’t own any theaters .

Alamo drafthouse Cinemas will be taking over the operation of this theater ,planning to open during the holidays. This and the former Metro theater Manhattan , nyc area will have 2 Alamo cinemas. Here is a link to the Anouncement from Alamo’s website http://drafthouse.com/nyc_area/yonkers

I remember that Wonderama The vIrconic children program on WNEW in the 70-80’s did a road show at this theater.I took part in the snake cans game which I lost.

Its a discount house with tickets ranges from$1.00 to 2.00. They may hardly have no money for maitenance.

Before it was a porn house ,it was a second run double feature that share billingswithe the Mayfair theater of Fresh Meadows ( now the Bombay theater)
