Out of all Scotiabank Theatres, this is the only one named after the mall it’s located in. There are Scotiabank Theatres in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, St. John’s, and Chinook. I predict that sometime soon, this will be renamed Scotiabank Theatre Calgary.
Here’s a list of movies that premiered with this theatre:
-The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
-Syriana
-Aeon Flux
-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Cineplex will open a new concept called “Junxion”, which combines a movie theatre with an entertainment centre (a la The Rec Room). It will also have a food hall and even an outdoor patio on the roof. This will open Kildonan Place in 2021, closing this current theatre.
Why is Cineplex keeping this one open despite not being too far away from Cineplex Odeon Devonshire Mall?
I can’t find any pictures of this theatre’s lobby before it was renovated (I think). Was it styled the same way as other SilverCity theatres?
I can’t find any photos on the internet of this theatre before Empire Theatre’s takeover. Did this theatre have SilverCity or Famous Players branding?
Why did Cineplex continue to operate this one despite another newer theatre (Yonge-Eglinton) bringing in the crowds?
In terms of layout, this theatre is a mirror image of Coliseum Scarborough (Cineplex Cinemas Scarborough).

The name should be changed to Cinéma Famous Player Carrefour Angrignon.
The name should be changed to Cinéma Cineplex Quartier Cavendish
I think this cinema held the premiere of “The Wiggles Movie” on December 18, 1997, as it was the only movie theatre in the City Centre at the time.
This theatre specifically opened on February 19, 1999 with the movie “Office Space” and one week after Colossus opened in Vaughan.

Name should be changed to Roadhouse Cinemas Scottsdale.
This theatre actually opened on December 9, 2005. The Grand Opening ad even said so itself.
This cinema is initially a clone of Famous Players Burlington 8 (now SilverCity Burlington) which opened the same year.
As of 2020, Guzzo no longer holds its share of the cinema.
The theatre is now closed as of 2020 due to the opening of Cineplex Cinemas at the Centre nearby.
The theatre is now known as Imagine Cinemas Keswick. It’s now owned by Imagine Cinemas.
Where did you get this image from? How can I access newspapers with movie theatre listings?
The name should be changed to Imagine Cinemas Carlton. Carlton Cinema was used by Magic Lantern Theatres from 2010-2016.
The name should be “Cinéma Cineplex Odeon Brossard et VIP” and it has 20 total screens (15 regular, 1 UltraAVX/D-Box, and 4 VIP).
The name should be changed to “Cineplex Cinemas Sherwood Park”
