Imagine Cinemas Woodbine

Located in the Woodbine Shopping Centre.

Formerly operated by Cineplex Odeon, they closed in on May 2, 2002. It was reopened later in 2002 by Rainbow Cinemas. Last operated by Imagine Cinemas, it was closed on March 16, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was later announced the the closure would be permanent.

Not sure when this happened, but Rainbow no longer operates the theatres at the Woodbine Center. They are now run by Imagine Cinemas.

Imagine Cinemas also operates the Carlton, Market Square and Promenade Mall in the GTA.

Cineplex Odeon opened this theatre on August 7, 1985, with E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Fright Night, Rambo, Weird Science, and St. Elmo’s Fire. Rainbow Cinemas acquired it in 2003 and later Imagine Cinemas in 2016. As of 2020, the theatre’s now permanently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This cinema’s final movies include My Spy, The Hunt, Onward, Bloodshot, The Invisible Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and The Way Back.

Cineplex Odeon initially closed this cinema on May 2, 2002, with its final films including Life or Something Like it, The Scorpion King, All About the Benjamins, Changing Lanes, The Sweetest Thing, High Crimes, Panic Room, Clockstoppers, and Ice Age.

Rainbow Cinemas re-opened this theatre on September 27, 2002, opening with The Tuxedo, Sweet Home Alabama, Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever, Stealing Harvard, Barbershop, Signs, Lilo & Stitch, and Trapped.
