Here is a May 1951 ad from the Southeast Economist. The address doesn’t match either theater mentioned so far. Maybe there were three Double Drive-Ins in Chicago.

I saw that photo before, and I was wondering if maybe this was a Spanish-language house in its last go round. Easy enough to change Temple to Tempo.

A lot of small theaters have 99 seats because 100 or more triggers some kind of payment to the actors' union. These 99 seat places are called “equity waiver” theaters.
