Great Comment Stan, our gang was sadly the last real theatre employee group that made close ties.I read how you have them in the BIG “A”,i have them in the little"A".
Iam not into computers,so how in the heck do you know that?Must be some button that one pushes.I know you are right there with me because you are Mr.Theatre Guy.
Seems like alot of theatres had crying rooms in those days.Outta make them today for loud mouth adults and teens. One of the main reasons I quit going, plus the movies and what call “STARS” are the pits.
Thanks so much for nailing down the name on the Quonset hut theatre I knew there was on there on Laney-Walker.It was the Harlem.I found a black Drive-in called HI-DE-HO Drive-in in Augusta, but no idea where it was located.THE IMPERIAL had a small concession stand upstairs too for the black moviegoers.
yeah,WHP i have plenty of pictures of Augusta theatres from the silent movie days to when the Miller Closed.Just don’t have a way to get them on CT.Thanks for the story, wish more folks with local ties would get on CT,but I found out that is like pulling teeth.
