Saw the movie in a very full crowd. Picture was ok. Audio was amazing. This movie wont last much long. I like that there’s a unisex bathroom on each side in addition to the men and women’s restrooms.
Saw Shazam in 3d in theater #1. 3D was really good and they only showed one 3d preview for the Secret Life of Pets 2. Sound mix was great and the picture was properly framed. Tomorrow I will see Pet Semetary in theater #12 instead of Dolby because it’s early.
This weekend Shazam is playing in regular 3d and imax while Pet semetary is being shown in dolby and regular as it is advertised that way for national release. I plan on seeing Shazam in regular and then Pet Semetary in Dolby now that AMC’s app is working after the Endgame tickets went on sale and crashed their servers. Since the movie’s 3 hours long, I’ll go for the Dolby since i can recline while watching it.
These are the speakers along the side of the auditorium on both the left and right side, in addition to the ones overhead in the front and the back of the screen. Instead of a guardrail near the balcony part there is a mini wall where moviegoers can kick their feet up from their recliners which don’t recline that much there as opposed to the lower level. There are a total of 141 seats as opposed to the 360 that a regular sized screen has.
This is the dolby theater test screen used before the preshow at the dolby cinema before the movie “Us”. It kinda reminded me of one of those calibration tests on those THX dvds. I believe this screen is the only one out of the others to use the movietunes as background music between showings.
Saw us in Dolby cinema and it was scary good. Dolby projection was very soft but colors flew and the sound was great. The seats vibrate and decline and they heat up during the action. I’m surprised that there’s no video on the walls entering the theater. The preshow looked good. I sat in seat h10.
According to Google reviews, they are renovating some seats in order to compete against the nearly 20 year old Clifton Commons complex which has reserved seating in all their screens.
Too bad movie goers will have to find another way to go see a movie around this area since Captain Marvel opens this weekend. Once the repair is complete Cinepolis should renovate the other two NJ theaters…
Saw the movie how to train your Dragon 3 in theater #15 and the picture was dim but the framing was correct and the audio well balanced. Kids were behaved and the food was good. Great movie too.
This weekend Apollo 11, which uses newly discovered 70mm footage of the launch of the rocket, is playing at the liemax for one week only before Captain Marvel arrives in that format along with Dolby and regular and 3d. I wonder how Dolby 3d would compare to Imax and Reald 3d as it might be much sharper and brighter and pricier.
Dolby also has a pop up store over in NYC called Dolby SoHo according to their facebook page showcasing their big projects. Hopefully the Oscars sound good on my surround sound as it is at this venue tonight.
Saw alita in 2d regular 4k in theater #10. Minor issues during the preshow but the movie was worth seeing despite feeling the rumbles from the Dolby next door. Projection was amazing and the picture was framed properly. Image was very bright and the sound mix was outstanding. 3d imax and Dolby would’ve been more pricey if I saw it again in those formats.

The blue lighting is very unique too.

Notice that they put in comfy carpenting in addition to glowing row letters and the plush seating.

crazy. Had no issues at my showing yesterday morning. Praying that the person is ok. Movie is really good.

How about 4k bluray?
AMC sucks for that
Is anyone’s facebook Down? U can’t even ask them on their page as well as Instagram
Last night brie Larson surprised everyone when she went to a screening of captain marvel at this theater and introduced the film to a sold out crowd.
I hear it’s ok. My local AMC in Rockaway has Dolby and IMAX so there’s no need to go to Clifton unless there’s an exclusive movie playing there.

They should do the same for succasunna

Minor masking issues at the theater while seeing fighting with my family. Picture is very dark audio is good. Theater number 5. Small seats.

any update on newer stories on cinema treasures?

AMC is running this theatre into the ground ever since they bought the Odeon circuit years ago…
What about Bow Tie Cinemas or perhaps National Amusements or even Cinemark?
