This could be the drive-in seen at begining of “Mission Impossible”(season 1, episode 28 – The Psychic), where Dan Briggs(Steven Hill) driving into the drive-in to get audio message from the drive-in speaker and photos and instructions waiting for him behind the drive-in speaker on the post. There was no sign to show the name of the drive-in theatre, but it’s the nearest drive-in to the old Desilu Studios(taken over by Paramount Studios in 1967, the same year as the episode). There was one(or maybe films seen on the(marquee?) on top of the ticket booths as Dan Briggs drove in the drive-in theatre.
Interesting use for a screen tower!! Pity the picture of the bear and the words along the sides are gone!! At the word Circle is still there at the top!!
The opening on 25/9/2016 was a soft opening. The official was on 7/1/2017 with “Jungle Book”. There is a photo of the new drive-in screen and an articule about the Central 70 Drive-in in the newspaper, The Great Southern Weekender.
The other opening film was a Bachelor Brown Comic. Digital projectors were installed in 2012. Placed on the State Register of Heritage places in 1995. The store was bought in 1913 for film use by master pearler Ted Hunter.
The Williams Agricultural Hall opened on 1/6/1898 by P.H. Piesse (Director of public works). The building cost 250(Australian Pounds). The Williams Agricultural Hall was the community building built in Williams.
I think this drive-in might the one seen on an episode of Car Chasers(season 1, episode 2 – Stacks of cash and a hidden stash) at the swap meet looking at cars!?
The food hall that was there, i think contained the first Kentucky Fried Chicken(KFC) store in the Perth city area!? No idea what was else in the food hall, or if the food hall had a name? I saw the Grand theatre being demolished. When most of the theatre was demolished, i saw there a picture painted on the inside of the back wall. I’ve no idea what the picture was, but there a female in the picture i think? I’ve no idea if the picture was painted for the Grand theatre, or for Pizza Showtime or for the food hall?

I see what you mean about the sign! You can’t read the name Westview Drive-in any more! I hope the sign gets fixed, not replaced!
I think the drive-in is between a prison(youth?) and a caravan park(other side of Westside Street)?
